Truro Safe Donation Points
Different issues, the same streets campaign
Truro Safe, part of Safer Cornwall have produced an information leaflet, aimed at local businesses, residents and visitors, which sets out some of the key issues related to street drinking, begging and rough sleeping in Truro. The leaflet gives details of the organisations that are providing support, contacts if you have any local concerns and explains how people can help. If you'd like some leaflets for your business, please call us on 01872 273999
Truro Safe Donation Box Scheme
We organise the Truro Safe donation box scheme and the money collected goes to the support agencies, including St Petrocs, who use it to help vulnerable individuals in Truro to move away from a life on the street.
As part of the Truro Safe Partnership, we encourage residents and visitors to support the official agencies working with the vulnerable individuals in the city.
If you wish to donate, please use the Truro Safe donation points rather than giving directly to individuals on the streets. The exception of this would be to support the Big Issue vendors by purchasing a Big Issue Magazine from Truro’s official Big Issue vendors who earn a legitimate income from selling the magazine.
There are currently eight Truro Safe Donation boxes located across the city at: Co-Op, Quintessential, Waterstones, Try Dowr Wetherspoons, Tesco, Newell's Travel, Sole Plaice Fish & Chip shop and CeX Truro.
