Bunting and Floral Displays in Truro

We fund and install the annual colourful bunting to improve the appearance of Truro City Centre which flutters in the city from April to October. 

Since 2022 about four times the previous amount of bunting has been put up around the city including at Victoria Square, Boscawen St, Lemon Quay, Pydar St, Duke St, Lower Lemon St, Walsingham Place and King St. The locations are chosen where there are existing anchor points on the buildings to attach the bunting to.

Lemon Street Market and Tinners Court awere also given a supply of bunting by us to install. In 2024 the red, white and blue colours have been chosen to mark the 80th anniversary of D-Day which took place in June.

We also improve the appearance of Truro by joint-funding with Truro City Council the annual floral hanging baskets and displays each spring which are delivered by the Parks Team.

Truro won Gold in the 2019 Southwest in Bloom. In 2021, we entered Truro into the BID / Urban entry for the South West region of Britain in Bloom and were delighted that Truro achieved a Gold Medal Award.
